AdventHealth was established in Orlando, FL, in 1908 as the Florida Sanitarium. It enrolled the very first nursing class a few short years later and graduated it's first group of nursing students in 1913. Formerly established in 1992, AdventHealth University is the culmination of over a century of healthcare education and experience.
The University campus is located next to AdventHealth Orlando – one of the largest medical facilities in the state – running Florida’s No. 1 hospital as rated by U.S. News & World Report.
AdventHealth University has a rich tradition associated with the pioneering health care and education reform movements started by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The church now operates one of the largest worldwide networks of health care and education facilities in the world.
