The faculty student relationships here are incredibly important, I actually think it's a huge part of your learning experience to connect with faculty as mentors and as guides along the way toward your goals. So we are a relatively small university, we have relatively small class sizes and intake sizes, which means that we really pay attention to each one of our students. And understanding where people come from understanding their "why" for pursuing the career that they're pursuing. And then it is our privilege to walk alongside our students as they work toward those goals.
The faculty support the values of AHU every day, all the time, that is something we are always trying to do. And that comes within the classroom and the clinical setting, teaching students that it's not just the content, they're learning, although very important, but it is also looking at how to treat a whole person. We take that same philosophy and we weave it into our curriculum. And again, into our clinical settings as well. It's an incredibly important part of who we are. We have many opportunities to get our students Career Ready, to get them floor ready, and practice ready. And those include our simulation labs, our nursing labs, we have case studies we do on class we do clinical experiences through AdventHealth. And it's incredibly important to us that our nurses feel our nursing students feel very practice ready when they get into the hospital and there's no real surprises for them in that they feel a level of competence as they leave our program.
